When I saw her bodacious curves and upbeat spirit, I immediately related to the message she was sending. “Don’t retouch my photos” is the theme Iskra Lawrence stands by on social media. Iskra is my favorite fashion model because she is using her platform to reshape the concept of beauty. Every video on her YouTube channel is designed to help women love who they are where they are, she emphasizes to love yourself even when you’re not your best. Iskra is not only a beautiful curve model but a spiritually motivating body activist. It’s riveting to finally see someone represent women in between skinny and plus size. I relate to her so much because every message she sends is with a purpose.

#IAmAllWoman is a movement dedicated to increasing confidence in body image and a healthier perception of how a woman views herself. No matter the amount of stretch marks, moles, cellulite, back rolls, skin tone, age, hair texture and all the other things that make you beautiful, this project wants you to celebrate what the media calls flaws. The All Woman Project eliminates Photoshop and focuses on the attributes making us all different yet uniting us all as one.
All Woman Project | Film
#IAmAllWoman is a project showcasing women in a light that pronounces their best elements, natural beauty. Reveling in the purist essence of being yourself. I find this type of promotion inspirational because of it’s long lasting effect. Everyday as a woman we want to feel empowered, independent and inspired by what we do. Constantly our sex is trying to prove strength, will-power and intelligence all while being “pretty”. This movement teaches us to stay true to ourselves no matter the environment or atmosphere. Open up and scream your value and worth to the world.
I am bold. I am nurturing. I am a risk-taker. I am inspiring. I am intelligent.
