Maximizing the Basics: James Samuel

#StealHisStyle

Welcome to my new male blogger series: #StealHisStlye, which features interviews with some of my favorite fashion male bloggers who effortlessly add their sauce to the fashion industry. These bloggers are game changers and it’s time to give them the spotlight. Iconic and eclectic style is derived from numerous sources, let’s get inspired!  #StealHisStlye will show the evolution and diversity of male fashion and latest styles by trendsetting bloggers.

Founder of Lookin Good Feelin Fine, James Samuel’s style nourishes the simplistic approach. His clean aesthetic touch adds a glaze to the minimalist style by maximizing the basic pieces. James relishes in blogging about fashion, well-being and skincare but he is taking style to another level by adapting a new medium. He is the co-founder of Intensae Nail Lacquer, a nail line paying tribute to inspiring women while treating your nails to an enhanced experience of intense pigmented shades and long-lasting wear. Let’s find out more about James and his style.

natonya: What advice do you give someone trying to discover his or her style?

James Samuel: Build a collection of key pieces, leather jackets/boots/sneakers, denim for your body type etc. Then go to stores and try on trend-driven pieces to combine with the key pieces until you discover looks that work for you. Take inspiration from others and remember how they put different things together to make a look. If you have a genuine interest, then it will all come together after enough practice.

natonya: What changes would you like to see in the fashion industry?

James Samuel: I love that some brands are offering recycling options, fast fashion is so bad for the environment, we just need to see more of it and change our own mentality towards shopping. As a blogger, I think it’s important to promote sustainability over always wearing something new.

  2. I’ve never really considered sustainability in fashion, I didn’t even know some labels had a recycling option either! But I guess when you think about how much fashion changes it does make sense
